Getting rid of an old sofa in Bridport shouldn't mean wrestling it down the stairs and hiring a van. With stone-built terraces and cottages common across the area — from West Bay, Bradpole and Bothenhampton — narrow hallways and tight doorways are par for the course. We collect sofas of any size from your ground floor, load them onto our van, and take them away. Artisan market town on the Jurassic Coast. Creative community, retirees, and families. West Bay is the harbour village featured in the TV show Broadchurch. That means we see everything from rental turnovers to family home upgrades. Reusable sofas go to local charities. Everything else is recycled responsibly —
While the van's there: add a mattress (£40), bed frame (£35), or bags of rubbish (£12/bag)
Better value
Your sofa + call-out = £114 total. A half load is £179 — just £65 more to clear the whole room.

Bridport Recycling Centre is 0.5 miles from central Bridport. You can take a sofa there, but you'll need a van or trailer — and that means applying for a free permit at least 5 working days in advance. Saturday mornings are the busiest time, so expect queues. Dorset address proof. Most people find it easier to book a TipRun collection — we pick up from your door and save you the trip.
Narrow streets in the town centre and older parts. West Bay has steep hills. Newer parts of Bridport have standard access. For sofa removal specifically, please make sure we can get the sofa through your front door or have it outside ready. If the sofa came in through the door, it'll come out the same way. Town centre has car parks. Residential areas have on-street or small driveways. West Bay has seasonal parking restrictions.
